Making some changes... (PLEASE read!)

Hokay... I'm not taking the site down or anything, but I will be making some major changes to the rules, game play, and in a few other places. Your posts will not be deleted, everything will still run as usual.

Basically I think I got a little rushed in certain parts of making this site and didn't think them over well enough, here are the things I'm going to be doing:

1. Removing all staff from the staff list, I plan to re-choose my staff members all over again. Only not from another site. (I won't be doing this for a while, I'm going to run the site on my own until we get enough members to really /need/ more staff.)

2. Adding/Changing/Removing rules.

3. I might have a poll that we'll use to choose the way vampires act and work on BTP. But that hasn't been one of the biggest problems, so perhaps not.

4. Adding more boards to certain places and more RP categories.

5. Adding a suggestion board.

I really think I've been too strict in some areas and not strict enough in other, I'm going to fix that over the next few days. Feel free to voice your opinions on changes and suggest other ones here . Have a great day/night!

Sounds like you've got a lot to do.

Here's my thought on the whole vampire poll. I say that as long as someone is not just making up things about vampires then they should be allowed to create a vampire how they want to. There are so many different legends around and so many traits to choose from, that it would be difficult to narrow it down at all. I'd say that as long as the person is being fair with how they create their vampire then it should be left alone. At least for a time

I like the adding more roleplay catagories. Maybe you could do a poll on that and see what places people might suggest?

I think Kayen Echstin has it right. There are so many different ideas and legends of vampires. Narrowing them down would be very hard.
So long as we don't clam our vamps can change into any animal at will (Though I think I've seen that somewhere) Or have them so superior other vampires that's darn impossible to kill/harm them.

I also like the idea of a poll to pick other areas to RP in.

As for mods/staff. When you decide you need them. I'd be willing to do so. I'm a mod/staff member on a few other sites. So I know those ropes.

I think it's a good idea to take all of the staff members (except you, of course) off of the staff listing. It really is bad when you rush through picking staff members for this site. Remember: this is your site, so don't give any new staff members any control over you, or you might lose the site. Also, if you do need a new staff member, I will have you know that I have previously been admin/assistant admin to around 14 other sites on Proboards and on Invisionfree. I am pretty good at skins, although it looks like you've got that down. But remember, don't set me up as an admin (when you're ready) if you don't trust me. That would be contradictory to what you're doing now.

For changing the rules, I think that would be fine. Just as long as my security program doesn't interfere, I should be able to read all of the new rules and understand them. Rules are the stepping stones into the roleplay area, and I won't skip over any of them if you change them.

Well, I think that the vampire restrictions we have right now if perfectly fine. I don't think that it would be hard for someone to come up with a vampire that can be killed and doesn't blow passed the rules. You already have a lot of vampires on this site, and that just proves that we can handle this right. I think that we have it pretty good like it is now. The vampire rules are loose, but let the member to use their imagination. It won't hurt the site unless someone gets out of hand.

I think that adding new boards to the roleplay area would be great! Not that we don't have enough to roleplay with here, but it would be nice to get more detailed with the places that we have right now. You can create new categories for places like downtown, schooling district, city, and many others! You don't have to have just one category for all of the roleplay's to go into, because it's easy for someone to pick out what is and is not a roleplay area.

That's about all I have to say. The suggestion board I've shown is a good idea, as everyone likes to suggest on this particular thread. I think you will have that board be very active and get some good suggestions for this forum. Thank you for listening. ^_^
